1) What is Cred-Ex?
Cred-Ex provides you with a fast, safe, and easy way to shop online. If qualified, Cred-Ex grants you a credit that gives you a worry-free online shopping experience. You can pay now or over time. With our revolutionary new patented technologies, we protect your identity. Cred-Ex membership is free.
2) How is Cred-Ex different from other payment options?
Unlike other alternative payment solutions, Cred-Ex offers new credit. Cred-Ex requests only the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number. Cred-Ex does not request your entire Social Security Number, your credit card numbers, your bank account numbers or your birthdate. Cred-Ex's unique verification process accesses several databases to confirm your identity and age at the time of purchase. We do not store any data or personal information and this protects your identity.
3) What information do I need to login?
Enter your user id or email address and password to log into your account 24 hours a day. You can monitor your spending, and refunds due to you and access shipping information.
4) How is Cred-Ex able to reduce the risk of identity fraud?
Cred-Ex' special patented technology verifies your identity before issuing Cred-Ex membership. When you apply, you must provide certain information including the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number. Cred-Ex uses this information along with other non-public information to verify your age and identity.
5) Why do I need to provide Cred-Ex with the last 4 digits of my Social Security Number?
The last four digits of your Social Security Number allows Cred-Ex to confirm your identity and age at the time of purchase in conjunction with the customer information you provided to the webstore your are shipping at. We do not ask for all of the digits, but utilize our algorithms to confirm identity and this will prevent others from making purchases with your Cred-Ex account.
6) When will I receive my Cred-Ex statement (bill)?
Cred-Ex runs 30-day billing cycles so you can expect to receive your Cred-Ex electronic statement 1 week to 10 days after your first purchase and approximately every 30 days thereafter. We will only issue electronic statements via email unless you opt in to receive a paper bill, this way we know you are getting the statements without delay and we do our part to join the green initiative of using less paper.
7) Do you charge an annual or monthly fee use Cred-Ex?
No. Cred-Ex does not charge monthly or annual fees to become a member or to use Cred-Ex.
8) My credit is less than perfect. Will I get approved for Cred-Ex?
Cred-Ex' flexible approval process often allows us to approve people with less than perfect credit. We have relationships with various financial institutions which have different levels of acceptable credit profiles. We will do our best to find a payment alternative that works for you.
9) Do I have a grace period?
Yes. Your payment is due on the date stipulated on your statement, which typically is 21-days from the date of your purchase. For payments not received by the due date, Cred-Ex imposes a $29.00 late fee per billing cycle.
10) I am a Cred-Ex member and have a question about my account. Who do I contact?
As a Cred-Ex member, you can manage your account by logging onto our secure website www.cred-ex.com 24/7. You can print your bill, review charges as well as find answers to frequently asked questions. 11) I did not receive my membership login information
If you did not receive your Cred-Ex New Member e-mail or the purchase confirmation email sent by the merchant, this may be because the settings of your e-mail filter are set to reject e-mails sent by businesses. Your e-mail filter may detect the e-mail containing your login information as "Spam" or "Bulk Mail." To retrieve your membership number or login information, please follow these three easy steps:
1) Open your mailbox by clicking on the mailbox icon.
2) Click on the link titled "Spam folder" or "Builk mail".
3) Once you have located the e-mail from Cred-Ex and/or the merchant, please double click on it, or move it to your in-box.
*Do not delete the e-mails as they contain important account information and the link to the content that you have purchased. Be sure to print these pages for your records.
To prevent spam filtering of your e-mails in the future, please follow the procedure described below:
1) In your mailbox, click on the link titled "Spam folder" or "Bulk mail", and list cred-ex as an authorized contact.
Should you be unable to retrieve your membership information e-mail or your confirmation of purchase electronic receipt, please contact customer service at (866) 298-3757 for further assistance.
12) What is "EVA™" also known as "Express Verifiable Authorization™" and what does it do?
"Express Verifiable Authorization" or "EVA" is a patented process whereby Cred-Ex can gather and use information that is unique to confirm your identity. Cred-Ex' special software uses this information and a number of high-powered analytical tools to verify your identity. This helps protect your identity and allow you a fast and easy check out at time of purchase.
13) What payment options are available?
You can make payment on your Cred-Ex account via check or money order, or if you chose to pay your bill electronically online, you may do so by logging into your secure membership management section at http://www.Cred-Ex.com/login.html, we only allow online payments via ACh. During the billing cycle, you will receive only an electronic statement delivered by e-mail. You can obtain and print your statements from prior periods by logging on to your membership section of the Cred-Ex website. 14) How do I pay my bill online?
Go to http://www.Cred-Ex.com/bill/, and enter your Cred-Ex Member ID or email address. There will be a form for you to fill out with the proper banking information to process your ACH payment.
